In order to support new as well as existing entrepreneurs aTaluk Level and District Level Investors meet is proposed to be conducted during the month of December at kottayam. Interested participants may please contact the respective Taluk Industries Offices/IEO's .

Technology Clinic

The Technology Clinic is a program conducted in collaboration with research institutions under the control of the Central and State Governments, aimed at introducing entrepreneurs to various technologies. This two-day program provides hands-on training to entrepreneurs. It serves as an opportunity to explore new technologies and understand the functioning of modern machinery. Usually, two such programs on specific themes are conducted in the district each year.  Please contact the respective Taluk Industries Offices/Industries Extension officers for participating it.  

PMFME Awareness Program

The PMFME (Prime Minister’s Formalization of Micro Food Processing Enterprises) scheme aims to support and formalize unorganized micro food processing units across India. It offers a 35% credit-linked capital subsidy (up to ₹10 lakh) to individuals and groups like SHGs, FPOs, and cooperatives. The scheme also promotes the "One District One Product" approach to boost local food-based industries.  

Entrepreneurship Development Programme

A 15 days programme for the general awareness for entrepreneurs regarding various sectors like accounts, Licence formality's,motivation,Banking etc. will be conducted during November.Interested participants may please contact the respective Taluk Industries Offices/IEO's.  Usually, two programs are conducted in a year, with 30 participants in each batch. 

MSME Day Celebration

MSME day celebration had been conducted at DIC Kottayam on 27.06.2025.  The Hon. Kottayam MP Sri. Francis George inaugurated the function.  The function was presided over by Sri. V R Rakesh, General Manager DIC Kottayam.  

During the MSME Day celebrations, the District Industries Centre, Kottayam, honoured the exceptional artisan Mr. K. R. Aravindakshan, who transformed whip into a symbol of craftsmanship and entrepreneurship, and Mrs. S. Pravada, a dedicated entrepreneur who blended creativity with commitment to turn even sedge into a value-added product, upholding Kerala's craft heritage while ensuring her family’s livelihood.
